Michigan Trail Works is a part of Better Place Farm LLC, a sustainable and naturally grown farm in Lowell, MI. Our love of the outdoors propelled us into a life of growing food and working the land. What started as building forts in the woods and educating people as trail guides turned into an operation of growing produce in greenhouses, raising thousands of animals, and helping others enjoy the outdoors as much we we do.

After we started our farm in 2018, our knowledge and expertise grew and grew. Other folks came to us seeking guidance and we learned that we love to help others follow in our footsteps, however small those footsteps may be. We shared our knowledge of growing food, flowers, and animals with other folks from backyard gardeners, hobby farmers and homesteaders, to large scale farms that were looking to do something different. We realized we had an opportunity to expand our business by providing products and services.

This evolved into us manufacturing farm equipment and livestock supplies, as well providing services like garden prep and tilling, irrigation set up, greenhouse construction, and more. With our specialized equipment, we began offering trail clearing, invasive brush removal, and landscape services to help people take back their overgrown and underutilized properties. As much as we love pulling weeds in the summer sun and sweating in a hot greenhouse, you can’t beat days spent working in the woods.

While we continue to grow produce and manage our livestock operation, our trail has led us to form Michigan Trail Works. We want to help you enjoy your outdoor space to the fullest extent, however big or small that space may be.
